ReactJs — Error Boundaries
Error boundaries catch JavaScript errors in child components and display a fallback UI instead of crashing the entire app. They must be class components.
import React, { Component } from 'react';
class ErrorBoundary extends Component {
constructor(props) {
super(props);
this.state = { hasError: false };
}
static getDerivedStateFromError() {
return { hasError: true };
}
componentDidCatch(error, info) {
console.error(error, info);
}
render() {
if (this.state.hasError) {
return <h1>Something went wrong.</h1>;
}
return this.props.children;
}
}
export default ErrorBoundary;
